For 2009-10, we are including more than just tossups and bonuses. This will both accommodate former Patrick's Press subscribers and allow coaches to customize each set to their needs.
On Mondays during the school year, we e-mail you a link to our web page with the current week's set of questions. Download each set, use it in practice, mark it up, and give it out for study! [Just don't use them in a tournament or give them to people outside of your team/school. Not only is this illegal and morally wrong, but your team will lose the competitive edge over your opponents that hundreds of extra questions will give you.]
Each weekly set contains tossups, four-part bonus questions, lightning rounds and a written worksheet. This allows customization; i.e. in states where the official format doesn't use bonus questions, coaches can either ignore the bonuses in each set or use them for fun at the beginning or end of a practice. At the end of the subscription, you can download one file with all the sets to put away for future years.
NOTE: for the subscription only (not leagues/tournaments or other practice questions), your subscription begins as soon as we receive your money. If you send us a PO number, the questions will begin after the check arrives. You will get all the questions--eventually. But if your school takes weeks or months to process a PO, you can get started much faster by using PayPal below and then taking our receipt to your bookkeepers to get reimbursed. (We regret having to do this, but with hundreds of subscribers, we need to.)
Over a full year, each "Basic" set (intended for middle-schoolers and high school JV) costs less than $4 for 20 tossups (with 2-3 on recent events) , 5 four-part bonuses, 2 lightning rounds (with one on recent events), and a 10-question worksheet.
Over a full year, each "Advanced" set(intended for varsity high school and college players) costs less than $5 for 25 tossups (with 2-3 on recent events), 8 four-part bonuses, 3 lightning rounds (with one on recent events), and a 10-question worksheet.
"Basic" and "Advanced" sets will overlap, so we recommend buying only one or the other unless you have a team at each level.
The 20 weeks of questions will be Oct. 5/12/19/26, Nov. 2/9/16/23, Dec. 7/14, Jan. 18/25, Feb. 1/8/15/22, and Mar. 1/8/15/22.
